March Wrap Up

Just like that, we are finished with the month of March. This was quite a bad month for me, as I was overwhelmed with work and University. I also had a trip out of the city to go to a concert, which gave me even less time to blog. It is time to look over the past month in movie watching and blogging, and see what the plans are for the hectic movie/TV month of April.

As usual, I have four goals to achieve for the month. This month, I did only get one achieved.

1. Watch 15 films this month. I was so close to achieving this, but I only got through 14 films this month. I should be able to get through a lot more next month though, due to a lack of University work and few shifts at my job.

2. Write 15 blog posts this month. I really did not do well here, only writing a total of five blog posts in the month. In comparison, this is my fifth blog post in April and we are only four days in.

3. Start Parks and Recreation. This will have to be put on the back burner for the next few months, seeing that I currently have two shows that I am trying to catch up on.

4. Restart Game of Thrones. Whilst I am only on the last episode of season one, I can say that I have actually started this show once again. Whilst I will not catch up with the show by the end of the season, I hope to complete the entire show shortly after.

Out of the 14 films I saw this month, three of them were repeat showings (The Intern, Bohemian Rhapsody and Beauty and the Beast (2017)). There are two films that stand out in particular from the new watches this month. Forrest Gump my not be the quality that I think The Shawshank Redemption was, but it still a brilliant film and I am still wanting to do my Tom Hanks binge. As well as that, the new release from Jordan Peele, Us, shows us that he is not just a one trick pony.

My blog viewership has been completely off. I seemed to have a peak at the start of the month, but at a number that is completely off that I do not want to fully say what has happened to my viewership. This month should be better, as I plan to continually blog from the start of the month to the end.

I do not have many choices for my favourite blog post of the month, but I want to highlight the success of my Movie News post. Somehow, I managed to get 100k+ views on my pin of this on Pinterest, leading to over 500 views on this one blog post. I am not sure what exactly happened, but I would love to figure out how to recreate that success on Pinterest, rather than just hitting lucky.

April is looking like it’s gonna be a fantastic month for entertainment fans. Whether you are more excited for the final season for Game of Thrones or the end to the MCU as we know it in Avengers: Endgame, April is the month we have all been waiting for. I am also anticipating checking out Eighth Grade, Pet Sematary as well as Mid90s.

What are you most looking forward to in April? What was your favourite film or TV show in March? Let me know in the comments below and let’s have a conversation.
