Academy Awards 2021: First Predictions (September 2020)

In this weird world in which the awards season is only starting now with the first few film festivals underway, there has not been much to base any true Oscar predictions on. However, I am ready now to make my first predictions for what will win when the Academy Awards are held in April. Whilst I will give some ideas for four of the more obvious lower-level categories, the focus will be on the top eight awards of the night. These are not a comprehensive list of what will be nominated, but simply a gut feeling of what I feel has the best shot (sight unseen) at the awards at this moment.

Here are my current predictions for the winners of the Academy Awards 2021 as of September 9th 2020.
